Our promise
We stand behind our residential painting work. We will prepare and paint the agreed surfaces with care and skill, using suitable products and following the manufacturer's application instructions.
What we cover
We provide a three-year workmanship warranty from completion on our interior and exterior residential painting.
If a defect appears within three years of completion because of faulty preparation or paint application by us, we will repair the affected paintwork at no cost to you, including labour and materials. This includes peeling, flaking, blistering or poor adhesion caused by our workmanship.
This workmanship warranty does not cover problems caused by hidden or pre-existing building conditions that we could not reasonably identify when inspecting and preparing the surfaces, such as concealed moisture, hidden timber rot or unstable underlying coatings. This exclusion does not apply where our work caused or contributed to the problem, or where we should reasonably have identified and addressed it. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
The work covered and completion date will be recorded on your quote, invoice or completion record.
Paint and materials
We use reputable paint products, including Dulux and Haymes, selected by us to suit the job. Any applicable manufacturer's warranty is additional to this workmanship warranty and subject to that product's terms.
What this workmanship warranty does not cover
This additional warranty does not cover deterioration or damage caused by:
- Normal wear, natural weathering or accidental damage.
- Leaks, rising damp, building movement, rot or failure of existing surfaces or coatings, where these are unrelated to defective work by us.
- Work or damage caused by others, misuse, harsh cleaning or failure to follow reasonable care instructions supplied by us.
These exclusions do not apply where our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill caused or contributed to the problem. They do not limit your legal rights.
If something goes wrong
Contact us here as soon as you notice a problem. For a claim under our three-year workmanship warranty, notify us within that period and provide your name, job address and a description of the issue. Photos and your quote or invoice number are helpful if available.
We will respond within five business days, arrange reasonable access to inspect the work and explain the next steps. For a covered defect, we will arrange rectification within a reasonable time, taking account of weather and suitable painting conditions.
We do not charge for assessing or rectifying a valid warranty claim. You are responsible for any incidental costs of submitting your claim, except where you are entitled to recover those costs under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Your legal rights
This warranty is additional to your rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law and any applicable NSW statutory building warranties. These rights may continue beyond our three-year workmanship warranty.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
